"Dear Guests, Will You Take My Picture?"

Dear Guests, Will You Take My Picture? was performed at the Museum of Moving Image as the Dear Guests series finale. OONA uses adversarial fashion to subvert surveillance, turning the museum's own infrastructure into a question of who owns the image.
A performance and lecture by OONA, an anonymous performance artist who explores, and questions, the intersections of technology, finance, gender, and identity. Moving through MoMI’s ground-floor spaces, she will ask visitors to take her picture, turning a familiar social gesture into a work about ownership and agency over identity. The final works exist on private phones of those who captured the artist’s image. OONA will conclude with a lecture, for visitors to learn more about the work.
